Welcome to the FEDANT site. If you are reading this you are probably expecting a baby. This is a very important time in your life and with many choices lying ahead of you we are here to make the first step along the way an easier one.

As a parent you have the right to Informed Choice. FEDANT provides a National Register of Antenatal Educators, Breastfeeding Counsellors, Doula Birth Companions and Complementary Practitioners who are all qualified and insured. On the National Register there are a variety of different people who are qualified by different routes and with differing specialities, this provides the facility for you to choose who best for fills your personal criteria.

Every Antenatal Educator, Breastfeeding Counsellor, Doula Birth Companion or Complementary Practitioner on the National Register has provided evidence to the regulator of their Qualification/s and insurance. They have also agreed to abide by the FEDANT Code of Ethics.

There are two ways of using the FEDANT site. One is to enter a postcode area and the registrants in that area will be listed for you. The other is to check the validity of a claimed registrant by entering their Registration Number. Any Antenatal Educator, Breastfeeding Counsellor or Doula Birth Companion will be happy to provide you with their FEDANT Registration Number.

Registrants are being added to the National Register all the time.
