Professional insurance for eligible FEDANT Registrants and students.
Appropriate professional insurance is required for relevant professional practice. Eligible FEDANT Registrants and students may apply for access to FEDANT Block Scheme Insurance or arrange their own suitable insurance with another provider.
Your Insurance Responsibilities
Using Your Own Insurance
You may arrange suitable insurance with another provider. For Registrants, the policy must cover the professional activities and exact FEDANT registration category or categories in which they practise. For students, it must cover the permitted student or case study activity undertaken as part of their course.
FEDANT Block Scheme Insurance
The scheme is available only to eligible FEDANT Registrants and students attending a FEDANT accredited course. Eligibility and application details are confirmed following the relevant registration review.

How to Arrange Cover
1
Apply for Registration or Student Admission
Complete the appropriate National Registration or Student Admission application and indicate that you wish to apply for FEDANT Block Scheme Insurance.
2
Application Review
FEDANT reviews your application before issuing the unique insurance link and password. The initial review may take between 48 and 72 hours.
3
Complete the Insurance Application
Use the link and password provided, complete the insurer’s application and pay the insurance provider directly.
4
Send Your Insurance Evidence
When your policy is issued, email a copy of the FEDANT Block Scheme insurance certificate to . Alternatively, you may wait for the insurance provider to contact FEDANT and confirm the registration category, categories or student activity for which cover has been requested. FEDANT will then approve the evidence and complete your National Registration or Student Admission.
5
Registration and Cover Confirmed
Once FEDANT has confirmed your National Registration or Student Admission and the insurer has confirmed cover, the relevant FEDANT application is complete and the Block Scheme cover will be valid.
Cover Is Not Valid Until the Required Steps Are Complete
Do not assume that insurance is active because an application or payment has been submitted. Cover is not valid until the required registration and insurance steps have been completed and confirmation has been provided.
Annual Registration and Insurance Renewals
Information for Full Registrants
Registration and insurance are renewed separately each year. FEDANT National Registration is renewed through FEDANT, while FEDANT Block Scheme Insurance is renewed directly with the insurance provider.
Important: If your FEDANT National Registration lapses, your use of the block scheme will breach the terms of provision. The insurance will become invalid and will not provide cover.
FEDANT National Registration
Renewal is payable to FEDANT.
FEDANT Block Scheme Insurance
Renewal is payable directly to the insurance provider.
Important Information for Students
FEDANT Block Scheme student insurance is available only to eligible students attending a FEDANT accredited course and is intended for permitted student or case study activity before qualification.
Student insurance premiums are shown per year. If insurance is required for a further year of study, follow the insurer’s renewal instructions and ensure that your FEDANT Student Admission is renewed and your course details remain current.
Send Your Qualification Evidence
When you graduate, email a clear copy of your qualification or award to . A clear, readable photograph taken on a smartphone is acceptable.
Move from Student Admission to Full Registration
FEDANT will review your award and, where the requirements are satisfied, update Student Admission to the appropriate full National Register category before qualified practice begins.
Arrange Full Practitioner Cover
Student cover ceases when you graduate. Once FEDANT has approved your award, complete the insurer’s requirements for full practitioner cover before beginning qualified practice.
Complete both updates. Your FEDANT registration status and insurance must both be updated. Full insurance should not be relied upon while your FEDANT record still shows Student Admission.
