Application and Online Service Certification
Applications and online services are reviewed against FEDANT’s applicable professional, safety, quality and legal criteria. Where certification is granted, it is valid for one year and remains subject to monitoring and random audit.
What Is Application Certification?
Application Certification is the formal process through which FEDANT assesses mobile applications and online services intended for the antenatal and postnatal sector, including services relevant to Antenatal Educators, Breastfeeding Counsellors, Infant Feeding Practitioners, Doulas and Postnatal Practitioners.
Who May Apply?
Certification may be requested for a mobile application or online service that provides information, guidance or services relevant to Antenatal Education, Infant Feeding, Breastfeeding Counselling, Doula Practice, Postnatal Practice or another related area.
Certification Process
Prepare the Submission
Provide complete and accurate information about the application or online service, its intended users, content and operation.
Evidence Review
FEDANT reviews the submitted content and supporting evidence against the applicable certification criteria.
Panel Consideration
The submission is considered through the relevant panel process and further information may be requested.
Decision and Monitoring
The applicant is informed of the outcome. Certification, where granted, lasts for one year and is subject to monitoring and random audit.
